Birth Doula Package
$1,100

Your child's birth should be a happy and peaceful memory, something that leaves you feeling empowered and confident. It  should be a positive experience that you will always remember. My Birth Doula Package will prepare you physically, psychologically and emotionally for your child's birth.

2 Prenatal Visits

We will discover your fears, goals and dreams for your labor and delivery. During the first visit at approximately 32 weeks, we will create your birth plan or review your plan if you already have one. We will discuss  what you should bring to the hospital/birth center or how to prepare for a homebirth. The second visit occurs around 37 weeks. This is the dress rehearsal. We will go over how to identify the start of labor, when to call me and when to contact your doctor/midwife. We will discuss labor options and practice  pain management techniques. I will teach you and your partner how to manage early labor, before you need my more advanced support.

Birth Support

I will remain with you from the time you request my presence either at your home or your birth location, until shortly after birth. I will assist with labor positioning, comfort measures, and coaching. I will help you understand your options and provide the information you need to navigate childbirth and  to make informed decisions about your care.
Postpartum Follow-Up

I provide 2 postpartum visits. The first visit occurs within 48 hours of birth. It's a brief visit to check on the newly formed family and assist with breastfeeding, if desired. The final home visit is about 2 weeks later. It offers an opportunity for us to talk about your birth experience, provide additional breastfeeding support, set expectations for postpartum recovery, and suggest community resources for additional information and services.

Postpartum Belly Binding

This ancient art commonly practiced in West Africa, South America and Asia can help your mid-section return to pre-pregnancy size, promote healing of abdominal separation and provide support to your internal organs as they return to their pre-pregnancy positions.

24-Hour On-Call Period

During your on-call period, I am available to you 24 hours a day. You can call, text or email me anytime with questions, fears or concerns. Additionally, I can make referrals whenever you need other birth professionals: photographers, massage therapists, chiropractors, placenta encapsulation specialists, lactation counselors, pediatricians, midwives, childbirth education classes, etc.

Phone/email/text Support

I will be available by phone, email or text for you or your partner any time throughout pregnancy and throughout the first two weeks postpartum. I encourage you to contact me after prenatal appointments with your healthcare provider. We can talk about testing, ultrasounds, or your overall care. You may also contact me for additional information, emotional support, or alternative treatment options.
Breastfeeding Support

I can help you prepare for breastfeeding before birth and assist with properly positioning your baby after he/she is born. Breastfeeding, although natural, does not always happen naturally. It is a skill that is learned and requires support.

Lending Library

I maintain a library of pregnancy, birth, birth support and breastfeeding books. You are be welcome to borrow any of the titles throughout your pregnancy.
